It is an acknowledged fact that a knowledge of at least one international language is today becoming important in ways never before realized. Globalization, ‘globalization’ and the opening up of national borders to world-wide trade means that more and more corporate houses and business-employers are looking to hire people with foreign language skills. However, even as more and more people need to learn a foreign language – either for employment requirements or even for personal reasons – facilities for truly professional training in languages continue to be either inaccessible or inadequate.
