SISTER NIVEDITA UNIVERSITY CAFETERIA DESIGN COMPETITION
Sister Nivedita University invites applications from architects, interior designers, and design firms for participation in a Design Competition for a new University Cafeteria.
Design Options:
- Single-floor cafeteria – 2,500 sq. ft.
- Two-floor cafeteria (with internal staircase) – up to 4,000 sq. ft. (subject to design feasibility)
Participants must submit:
- Floor plan(s) based on one of the prescribed themes (shared separately)
- 3D visual presentation/renderings
- Cost quotation for execution for both options (2,500 sq. ft. and 4,000 sq. ft.)
A kitchen area of approx. 500–600 sq. ft. will be included in the layout planning; however, kitchen equipment procurement is outside the scope of the competition.
Designs must comply with applicable fire safety and building regulations of Kolkata, India.
Prize: ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only).
The winning entry may also be awarded the execution order, subject to separate terms and conditions. Statutory deductions will be applicable.
Sister Nivedita University will share the bare-shell floor plan with dimensions.
Site Visit: 31 March 2026 | 12:00 Noon – 5:00 PM.
All submissions shall become the property of the University, which reserves the right to use any or all entries at its discretion.
