ADVERTISEMENT OF STUDENT INTERNSHIP (SERB-SRG SSR)

Objective: SERB has adopted the Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) Policy to imbibe a culture of social commitment among SERB Grantees. The policy intends to effectively utilize the scientific infrastructure and expertise of SERB grantees to benefit other S&T stakeholders, especially the less-endowed researchers and society. This program would facilitate the young talents to choose a career path in Science and Technology.
Eligibility: Candidates currently pursuing a M. Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent from a University/Institution/College.
Duration: 2 months (tentatively between mid of December 2024 to mid-February 2024)
Nature of support: Stipend will be paid at the rate of Rs. 5000/- per month.

Note: (i) Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the interview after scrutinizing the received applications. The applicants should produce a letter of authentication from their Head of the Department / Head of the Institute indicating their association with the Institute.
(ii) The supervisor to whom the interns are attached would be assigning them tasks/assignments on which the intern should work and prepare a report to be submitted.
(iii) A certificate regarding the successful completion of the internship shall be issued to the intern by the supervisor and head of the concerned department upon satisfactory completion of the internship and submission of the assignment report. Interns not completing the requisite period will not be issued any certificate.
